Ohio Fuzzy Pawz Shih Tzu Rescue is grateful to once again be the beneficiary of grant money from the Ohio Pet Fund. The Ohio Pet Fund has been able to help over 150 Ohio nonprofit organizations and shelters in nearly 50 counties. The Ohio Pet Fund is a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation that began awarding grants for spay/neuter and education in 2006-2007 to animal shelters and nonprofit groups. The Ohio Pet License Plates are vehicle registration tags that raise funds for education, spay and neuter of pets for low-income families, and for dogs and cats adopted from qualifying agencies.
Share your love for pets! You can order your pet plate, even if it is not time to renew your license tags...other license fees will be pro-rated. Just go to Oplates.com or stop by your Deputy Registrar's office. The more plates the Ohio Pet Fund sells, the more dogs and cats they can help! The ALL AMERICAN COLUMBUS PET EXPO will be hosting the MEGA PET ADOPTION inside the Pet Expo. Meet and socialize with some of the wonderful dogs available for adoption through Ohio Fuzzy Pawz and the many other rescues in attendance. Browse through our booth for some great pet related merchandise for both you and your four legged friends. All proceeds benefit the dogs rescued by Ohio Fuzzy Pawz. The Easter Bunny will visit the Ohio Fuzzy Pawz booth for pictures on Saturday from 3pm-6pm and Sunday from 1pm-4pm. Have your pet, your family and your picture taken with the Easter Bunny for $5.00 (+ tax) per picture/frame included.
The All American Columbus Pet Expo has offered our rescue two fundraisers to help recoup some of the cost for our booth and to assist with our ongoing operational needs. 1. Family Four Pass - This pass allows admittance for two adults (or seniors) and two children (ages 4-11). You can purchase your Family Four Pass for $20 through Ohio Fuzzy Pawz. 5K Walk/Run for K-9 Cancer
For dogs and people! The 2016 Hank Kabel Sarcoma 5k Walk/Run to benefit K-9 Cancer. To help the Hank Kabel Sarcoma Foundation raise money and awareness for canine cancer and to honor Hank and all the other dogs who have lost their battle to this devastating disease. Cancer is the leading non-accidental cause of death in dogs, with one in three dogs being diagnosed and 50 percent dying from the disease (Veterinary Diagnosis Institute, 2012). Dr. Jodi from All God’s Creatures will be at the Walk/Run giving free cancer checks for your fur babies. Remember that early detection is critical! Prizes and recognition given to teams who raise the most money, and to the winners of the race. By participating in Hank's race you, are not only raising money for dogs with cancer, but also for people with cancer, since clinical trials in dogs help decide medicines that are effective in human cancers as well. Registration is from 9-10 a.m., with the opening ceremony at 10, and the race commencing at 10:30 a.m. Participants can enjoy various vendors before and after the race. Join us for the race and stay for a whole day of family fun with entertainment, food, raffle, exhibits and vendors. Note: The race will take place rain or shine. Once your entry fee, sponsorship and/or donation is received and accepted, it is non-refundable. Please register by June 30th. Registration fee is $25.00. A Canine Event to Fight Cancer

Registration is $10 - for the first dog, $5 for each additional dog, per owner. For each registered dog, the owner will receive a raffle ticket and pet bandana. Dogs must be on a leach and be ready to clean up after your four legged friends. American Cancer society Bark For Life events honor the lifelong contributions of our canine caregivers. These events empower canine caregivers and their owners to contribute to the fight against cancer through their involvement with the Amnerican Cancer Society. The Bark for Life event is an opportunity for people to celebrate canine companionship and fight back against cancer with therir dogs. Every person who has been close to a cancer experience and has a dog in their life is invited. Celebrate Pets!
So much to see, so much to do! This event is jam-packed with activities. The Dublin Pet Fair is an annual event to celebrate pets in Central Ohio. There will be 30 rescues attending, Ohio Fuzzy Pawz included, and many pet related vendors as well. There will be demos on dog training, flyball, & agility throughout the day. Vendors will be doing demos relating to pet nutrition and pet behavior. The public can bring dogs too and enter the contests: biggest pet, smallest pet, or best trick. The fair is free to the public. The fair is not for profit. All money raised goes toward the attending rescue groups.

Ohio Fuzzy Pawz Shih Tzu Rescue is excited to attend the 3rd Annual Fetch A Friend Adopt-a-thon which will feature hundreds of adoptable pets from more than 50 different rescues, shelters and animal welfare groups from around Central Ohio.
This event is FREE and parking at the Expo Center is $5. As a courtesy to the hundreds of animals already on site as well as for the safety and well-being of our guests, OWNED PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED AT THE EVENT.
